As required by Article 144(3) of the Constitution, President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in 20 High Court judges and a private attorney as Justices of the Court of Appeal.
Nine of the 20 judges in the High Court are women.
Justin Kofi Dorgu, Justice Daniel Mensah (Dormaahene), Justice George Buadi, Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, Justice John Bosco Nabarese, Justice Jennifer Anne Myers Ahmed, Justice Emmanuel Senyo Amedahe, Justice Kwasi Anokye Gyimah, Justice Dr Richmond Osei-Hwere, and Justice Francis Apangano Achibonga are among the recently appointed Justices of the Court of Appeal.
Justices Ali Baba Abature, Abena Asuamah Oppong, Mariama Sammo, Mary Maame Ekua Yanzuh, Ayitey Armah-Tetteh, Charity Akosua Asem, Enyonam Adinyira, Sheila Minta, Douglas Seidu, Charles Adjei Wilson, and Mrs Franklina Gesila Adanu make up the remaining group.
