The relevant authorities in the United Arab Emirates have notified the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that two Ghanaians were injured in a drone incident that happened earlier today near Dubai International Airport. March 11, 2026.

The Ghanaian government vehemently denounces any action that puts civilian lives and vital infrastructure at risk.

These kinds of situations put public safety at grave danger and highlight how crucial it is to protect civilians and important international transportation hubs.

A delegation from our Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Consulate in Dubai visited the two injured Ghanaians at the hospital under the direction of Ghana’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.

We anticipate a speedy recovery because their injuries are not life-threatening. As we continue to provide consular support and work closely with host authorities, we thus ask for composure.

The Ministry is keeping a careful eye on the issue and will keep interacting with the relevant authorities as needed. The Ghanaian government notifies the injured people and their families of its concerns on the tragedy.

The Ghanaian government’s dedication to the safety and well-being of its citizens, wherever they may be, is reaffirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In order to achieve a resolution calling for an end to hostilities, the Ghanaian government is actively supporting ongoing UN consultations.

The Ministry will give updates on the situation as needed and is providing the required leadership and coordination with Ghana’s diplomatic missions.

The government would want to take this opportunity to remind its citizens in the Gulf region to always be extremely vigilant and to obey orders from Ghanaian embassies and local authorities.
