On Monday, May 06, 2024, Dunkwa-on-Offin Fire Station swiftly responded to a fire call at 1137 hours at Abankeseso behind the circuit court, led by LFM Mensah.
It took 3 minutes for the experienced and adept crew to get to the fire scene to efficiently tackle the fire, utilizing one length of delivery hose to defend five other stores. The fire was finally extinguished at 1209 hours without recording any firefighter or civilian injuries.

The fierce fire resulted in damage to a container shop and its contents including various items such as phones, desktop computers, cameras, plastic bags, crates of eggs, and a refrigerator. Investigation into the cause of fire is underway.
The quick response and effective firefighting efforts ultimately saved the five (5) stores from destruction, highlighting the importance of timely intervention and skilled firefighting techniques in mitigating property damage and preserving community assets.
