The Black Starlets of Ghana won the inaugural UEFA U-16 Development Tournament and were named champions.
The Starlets defeated Switzerland 3-2 on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, to claim the championship. The Ghanaian squad won both of their matches against Spain, 3-2, and Serbia, 4-1, respectively, to finish the campaign with an undefeated record.
Ramsey Asumadu scored two goals and Bossman Debrah one in the five-goal thriller versus Switzerland. Serbia hosted the four-nation competition in Belgrade.
