A delegation from the Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations, headed by Mr. Joseph Atsu Homadzie, their president, was received by Honorable Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, today.
The Federation addressed important issues impacting Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the education sector and welcomed the Minister on his appointment.

They prioritized PWDs’ access to postsecondary education, the implementation schedule of the Inclusive Education Policy, funding for education that is accessible to people with disabilities, the implementation of sign language in elementary schools, as promised by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and the supply of assistive technology to improve PWDs’ learning.
Hon. Iddrisu conveyed his gratitude and reiterated the Ministry’s resolve to tackle every concern brought up, stressing that inclusive education continues to be a top priority in the government’s Resetting Ghana Agenda.
