Bofoakwa is promoted to the Premier League following a 16-year absence

After an absence of 16 years, Bofoakwa Tano has been re-admitted to the Betpawa Premier League for the 2023–24 season.

They defeated Techiman Eleven Wonders 7-6 in a penalty shootout to win the Access Bank Division One League Zone 1 championship and earn a spot in the Premier League.

The nail-biting Access Bank Division One League Zone One playoff game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes without a winner being determined in the allotted time.

Bofoakwa Tano is one of three Division One teams to be promoted to the Betpawa Premier League together with Nations FC and Hearts of Lions.
