A consultation conference with stakeholders on human trafficking and irregular migration was organised by the Human Trafficking Secretariat of the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP).
The gathering brought together important players from international organisations, law enforcement agencies, civil society groups, and government institutions to discuss advancements in the battle against irregular migration and human trafficking.
Participation was a component of the Ministry’s continuous endeavours to improve coordination and encourage group efforts to tackle these problems.
It gave interested parties a forum to evaluate the execution of policies, examine ongoing initiatives, and make plans for major initiatives in 2026 and beyond.

The National Plan of Action for the Elimination of Human Trafficking, the Human Trafficking Act’s evaluation to determine areas for improvement, the preparation for the World Day Against Human Trafficking, and the identification of enduring issues influencing the efficacy of ongoing interventions were the main topics of discussion.
Stakeholder expectations for 2026 and the priority areas for each participating institution were other topics of discussion.
It is anticipated that these discussions will help shape integrated action plans and guarantee a more cooperative and results-driven national response to irregular migration and human trafficking.
This program demonstrates the Ministry’s ongoing dedication to upholding human rights, protecting populations at risk, and coordinating national efforts to stop human trafficking and irregular migration in all of its manifestations.
