The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a scheduled maintenance exercise in parts of the Western Region as part of efforts to improve electricity supply and enhance service delivery to customers.
According to ECG, the planned maintenance works will result in a temporary interruption in electricity supply to some communities on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
ECG Planned Maintenance Schedule
The maintenance exercise is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during which residents and businesses in the affected areas may experience a temporary power outage.
The affected communities include:
- Sefwi Bonwire
- Nyamehyirawo
- Krobo Manhyia
- Abodua
- Boakyekrom
- Akpafu No. 5
- Other surrounding communities
ECG said the planned power interruption forms part of measures to improve the reliability and quality of electricity services in the affected areas.
Customers within the affected communities are therefore advised to take note of the maintenance schedule and make the necessary preparations ahead of the temporary outage.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has apologised to customers for the inconvenience the planned maintenance exercise may cause and thanked residents for their understanding and cooperation.
