Luke 5:15-16 describes how, despite Jesus’ instruction to keep his healing of a leper secret, the news about him spread rapidly.

Consequently, great crowds came to hear him and be healed of their sicknesses, leading him to frequently withdraw to solitary places to pray.

Jesus had become famous for all He did and many more people thronged to follow Him but the more people clamor to see Him, the more He went into hiding to pray.

Prayer was what made Him do what He did to achieve the fame He had and so rather than enjoying the fame, He chose to pray to sustain what He was doing.

If Christ, who was God in the flesh, took prayer seriously, then we have no excuse not to pray.

Why are we being lazy when it comes to prayer? How do we sustain the blessings God has given us if we won’t pray.

Beloved, let us pray all the time. Let us not be carried away by our fame, blessings and achievements.

Rather, may we humble ourselves before the Lord always in prayer as a way of remaining close to the source of our fame and blessings.

If even Jesus did this, then we must do more as humans because we need it more. We must pray especially when we dont feel like praying and let us remember that, the more people get to know us because of what God is doing thriugh us, the more we must stay connected to God through Christ and in prayer.

May God help us.
