David in Psalm 34:10 said “ Young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing”

Beloved, we tend to compare ourselves too much with others and note what they have that we lack and grumble in our hearts.

But not all that others have that we lack, may be good for us. Unfortunately, not all of us are able to appreciate this basic truism, so we tend to compare and become sad because we see what we lack.

But is what we lack always good for us? We are told we gonna lack no good thing if we seek the Lord. If this is true, then, rather than comparing what we don’t have to what others have and think we lack many things, we must rather seek the Lord and we won’t lack anything good.

But what does it mean to seek the Lord? A little biblical research suggests that seeking the Lord means to turn to God; to desire to be in a relationship with Him; and to come into His presence for fulfillment, strength and help.

If we we do the above, King David assures us that we won’t lack any good thing. What we may think we may be lacking, may not be good for us. But what is good for us, we would never lack, should we decide to seek the Lord.

This week, as we go about our work and activities, may we also spend time seeking the Lord, so we won’t toil in vain and we won’t lack anything good.

The Lord bless us all.
