The Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge, was the subject of an investigative article by The Fourth Estate media house that has now gone viral on social media. The Ministry of Health has taken note of this revelation.
The Ministry is sympathetic to patients and their families who may have experienced any kind of unethical behaviour in any medical facility nationwide.
The government is still dedicated to making healthcare less stressful and expensive for patients.
We are, nevertheless, profoundly worried and astonished by several of the findings in the report.
In light of this, the Ministry regards the issues stated as serious and deserving of comprehensive investigation.
As a result, the Ministry of Health is putting together an investigating team to look into the situation.
The committee is anticipated to submit its report within 14 working days.
The Ministry anticipates full collaboration from all relevant stakeholders, including The Fourth Estate, to help untangle the facts and offer further information required to ensure accountability and improve service delivery within our health system.
