Starting on Monday, October 16, 2023, fuel prices are expected to decrease at different pumps around the nation, according to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC).

In a statement released on Friday, October 13, COPEC’s executive secretary, Duncan Amoah, linked the predicted decline in fuel prices to a sharp decline in the cost of goods on the global market as well as the strengthening of the cedi versus the US dollar.

Currently, the average price of gasoline in Ghana is GH12.098 per litre, while the average price of diesel is GH13.40 per litre.

In the second pricing window, gasoline prices may drop to GH 11.49 per liter and diesel prices may fall to GH 12.06 per liter, according to COPEC.
