Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi, has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral trade relations with Turkey, with a renewed focus on achieving the USD 1 billion trade target ahead of the 2027 deadline.

Speaking at the Turkey–Africa Business and Economic Forum held from October 16 to 17, 2025, in Istanbul, Mr. Ahi emphasized the importance of enhanced cooperation between the two nations to scale up trade volumes and deepen economic partnerships.

The forum, which brought together senior government officials, business executives, and investors from across Africa and Turkey, served as a platform to explore new avenues for trade, industrial development, and sustainable investment.
