Henry Quartey, a former Greater Accra Regional Minister and former Interior Minister, has declared that he did not appropriate any government land for his own use while in office.
Quartey clarified that the lands allotted during his administration were meant for public benefit projects in an interview with Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM.
He declared, “I didn’t take any government land during my time as Interior Minister. All the lands I allocated were for public use and meant to benefit the general public, not for my personal benefit.”
Quartey added that one of the funds was intended to promote the advancement of healthcare. He said that the site was set aside for a project meant to enhance health care.
“The land was specifically intended to serve the public through improved healthcare infrastructure,” he continued.
Quartey maintained that the public interest was taken into consideration when making choices throughout his term.
