The interaction between the Economic and Organised Crime Office and dancehall artist Shatta Wale has taught him valuable things.

Particularly with young people, he thinks the lessons he has learnt will be well received and will guide their course once they engage in real estate.

“Raymond Archer is now my best friend because I feel God sent him for us to educate the people, and that is what he did. That is one of the poblems he has solved in the country. People might think he arrested me but all what he did was God ordained,” he clarified on Joy Prime Television in Accra..

He continued, “Raymond hass really opened our eyes to to certain things. I think it is about time the youth have to be wise and know how to purchase properties. Me too, that is what I’m doing right now. If want to purchase something I ask bad man is it stolen?”

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) arrested dancehall performer Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., better known by his stage name Shatta Wale, as part of an investigation into the tax liabilities of a yellow Lamborghini Urus.

EOCO and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confiscated the expensive car in early August 2025. This development comes after the occurrence.

Because officials said the car was stolen and linked to the revenues of a significant fraud operation, the confiscation was a part of a broader international investigation.

Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office Act, 2010 (Act 804) and the Mutual Legal Assistance Act, 2010 (Act 807) both permitted the seizure.
