NPA cancels the increase in the fuel marking margin (FMM)

The decision by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) to raise the Fuel Marking Margin (FMM) from 4 to 9 pesewas has been reversed.

Prior to this, the NPA had instructed all Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to include the revised rates in their Price Build-Ups (PBUS) beginning on Saturday, April 16, 2023.

“We hereby request that the increment be withdrawn. Hence, the FMM will remain GHp 4.00/Lt till further notice, according to a recent announcement from the regulator.

The statement concluded, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
