In preparation for the delegates meeting on November 4, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has conducted voting for its flagbearer contenders.
Kennedy Agyapong and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia respectively chose the first and second slots at the conclusion of the voting, which took place in Accra on September 13, 2023.
Former Mampong MP Francis Addai Nimo chose the fourth spot, while former Minister of Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto chose the third.
The party’s national election committee managed the voting. In order to select its flagbearer for the general elections of 2024, the NPP is anticipated to convene its national delegates conference on November 4.
In the present race for the party’s leadership, Ken Agyapong, Dr. Bawumia, and Dr. Akoto are the front-runners. After the Special Delegates Conference, Alan Kyeremateng declared his withdrawal from the contest.
