The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, M.E. Emmerson Mnangagwa, will make a three-day state visit to Ghana from Wednesday, April 1 to Friday, April 3, 2026, the Government of the Republic of Ghana is happy to announce.
President Mahama will greet President Mnangagwa with full military honours upon his arrival at the Accra International Airport at 3:00 PM. This will include a 21-gun salute and an inspection of the Ghana Armed Forces’ Guard of Honour.
In the evening, President Mahama will honour Ghana’s friendship with Zimbabwe by hosting a State Banquet in President Mnangagwa’s honour.
The two presidents will have a tete• addle before the bilateral talks at the Peduase lodge, which will be the primary event of the wsit.

In-depth talks on improving cooperation between the two nations in a number of areas, including as commerce, tourism, health, sanitation, agriculture, combating corruption, and addressing unemployment, will be headed by each president’s delegation.
Following the discussions, Memoranda of Understanding covering important topics of shared interest will be signed and exchanged.
President Mnangagwa will be briefed on Ghana’s advancements in waste management and healthcare delivery during his visit to the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant and the Sweden Ghana Medical Center 1SGMC1.
Additionally, President Mnangagwa will travel to Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to lay a wreath at the tomb of Ghana’s founding father.
On Friday, the President will leave Ghana with full honours at the Jubilee Lounge.
