The 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have been rescheduled from the Palms Convention Centre to the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) by Charterhouse Productions.

The awards ceremony, which is set for May 9, 2026, will honour accomplishments in Ghana’s creative arts and music industries during the year in question.

Charterhouse stated in a statement that the awards program’s expanding scope and production requirements are reflected in the new location.

“The move to the Grand Arena reflects the evolving scale and production ambition of the TGMA. With its expansive capacity, advanced technical infrastructure and enhanced production flexibility, the Grand Arena offers the ideal environment to deliver the world‑class experience audiences have come to expect,” the statement said.

According to Charterhouse, the facility was specifically designed to accommodate large-scale staging, broadcast requirements, and audience involvement. It has hosted the awards since 2019.

They thanked important parties for their ongoing support of the awards, especially the sector ministry and headline sponsor Telecel.

The statement said, “We are equally grateful to the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the continued collaboration towards hosting this year’s event at the Grand Arena and supporting the growth of the creative arts sector.”

One of the nation’s premier entertainment events, the Telecel Ghana Music Awards honour exceptional work by musicians, producers, and other industry participants.
