Apostle Emeritus Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, the visionary industrialist, inventor, farmer, herbalist, and spiritual father of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, will be celebrated on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Complex Park.

The solemn remembrance is anticipated to attract thousands of mourners who will come to honour the extraordinary life and lasting impact of a man whose faith and inventiveness changed lives and sparked pride in the country.

Known as the “Star of Africa,” Apostle Safo fostered a generation of youthful inventors and intellectuals, promoted contemporary farming methods, and pioneered locally made machinery and vehicles, all of which contributed to the culture of self-reliance.

His followers developed discipline, togetherness, and a strong feeling of purpose as a result of his spiritual leadership inside Kristo Asafo.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the President of the Republic, former presidents, a former vice president, members of Parliament, traditional leaders, and business leaders are among the dignitaries anticipated to attend the occasion.

Together with the Aduana family of Essumangya and Asantemanso, the Kristo Asafo Mission, and Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo and her siblings, they will commemorate a life dedicated to faith, creativity, and humanitarian service.

Prayers, songs, and tributes will kick off the day’s events at 8:00 a.m. and last until 6:00 p.m. In order to convey the sombre tone of the event, attendees are urged to dress in crimson and black.
