Hon. Sampson Ahi, the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, met with DTRT Apparel’s management to talk about the difficulties the company is having with the Customs Division.

Held on Thursday, October 23, at the Trade Ministry, the meeting aimed to improve the ease of doing business in Ghana by resolving the difficulties and facilitating easier operations for the company.

On behalf of the Hon. Minister, Hon. Ahi praised DTRT for taking a cooperative stance in resolving its issues and encouraged the business to strengthen ties with important institutions, such as the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Customs Division, to guarantee a prompt resolution.

Attending the conference, representatives from the Ghana Free Zones Authority and other pertinent stakeholder agencies vowed to cooperate in finding a solution.

Dignity DTRT Industries is a well-known textile and apparel manufacturer that was founded in 2013. It specialises in knit tops, synthetic performance fabrics, poly-performance fleece clothing, such as sweats, hoodies, and full-zips, and flatlock stretch sewing for sportswear.

With more than 6,000 employees at the moment, the company makes a substantial contribution to the industrial expansion and employment creation of Ghana’s garment industry.
