The ambassador of the European Union, His Excellency Rune Skinnebach, was met by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
With an emphasis on advancing peace and security, the Minister and the Ambassador’s conversations focused on deepening Ghana’s relationship with the European Union.
The Honourable Minister said that continued strategic engagements would strengthen the cooperation and acknowledged that the European Union is still one of Ghana’s most important partners in sectors including commerce, education, and security.
The Ambassador affirmed that the European Union would give Ghana the support it needs in its priority areas and showed the EU’s commitment to a responsive and effective cooperation.
