Members of the Black Stars Management Committee will no longer receive victory incentives, according to Kofi Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation.

The $10,000 package formerly given to committee members has been canceled, but the players will still get $5,000 each as a winning bonus in the next FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Mr. Adams clarified during a news conference in Accra on Tuesday, September 2, that while the original budget for each game was $1 million, the Ministry has authorized $1.3 million to cover two games.

He emphasized that management members would now be entitled to their per diems rather than compensation based on match outcomes.

“If for every win we are to pay a winning bonus, what happens if we do not win the number of games to qualify us for the tournament? Under the previous arrangement, management team members received winning bonuses, but in the end, the team did not even qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.

“The players earned nothing, yet managers walked away with bonuses. The president has made it clear: supervise and receive your per diem, but no winning bonus,” the Minister emphasised.
