Three Dead in Fatal Kyebi–Asikam Road Accident

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has responded to a fatal road accident on the Kyebi–Asikam road in the Eastern Region involving a Toyota RAV4 and a Kia Picanto.

Firefighters from the Kibi Fire Station quickly arrived at the scene and rescued injured victims trapped in the vehicles. The injured were subsequently transported to Kibi Government Hospital for medical attention.

Sadly, three occupants of the Kia Picanto were pronounced dead following the crash.

Preliminary Cause of Kyebi–Asikam Accident

Initial investigations indicate that the Toyota RAV4 lost control, crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the Kia Picanto.

The incident has renewed concerns about road safety, reckless driving and fatal road accidents in Ghana, particularly on major highways and regional roads.

Authorities are expected to continue investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the fatal Kyebi road crash.
