Two men, Daniel Dzoka, alias Alkaline, 20, and Lawrence Fumato, alias Rasta, 28, were sentenced to 17 years in prison each by the Amasaman Circuit Court for their involvement in a violent robbery at Agbazo, close to the Golden Exotic Farm in Accra.

On November 12, 2025, the suspects stole a Royal 150 motorcycle, a Samsung phone, a Tecno Spark 8, an Itel keypad phone, and GH¢4,000 after attacking two victims with scissors.

The suspects were apprehended on November 17, 2025, thanks to police intelligence.

In violation of Sections 23(1) and 149 of the Criminal Offenses Act, 1960 (Act 29), they subsequently entered a guilty plea to charges that included robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The 17-year sentences were mandated to run consecutively by the court.

The community’s cooperation was praised by the Accra Regional Police Command, which also encouraged the public to keep aiding in the battle against crime by reporting suspicious activity by calling 18555 or 191.
