Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has indicated that Ghana’s 2027 Budget Statement and Economic Policy is expected to be presented to Parliament in the first week of November 2026.
Dr Ato Forson disclosed the timeline during an interview with Ahenfia FM in Kumasi, as the government intensifies preparations for the country’s next national budget and a new economic programme.
2027 Budget to Focus on Infrastructure and Job Creation
According to the Finance Minister, the 2027 Budget will outline government’s plans for major infrastructure development projects aimed at supporting economic growth and creating more employment opportunities for Ghanaians.
He said the upcoming budget will also introduce a number of policy initiatives designed to strengthen economic activity and promote job creation across various sectors of the economy.
Government Plans New Business Incentives
Dr Ato Forson further disclosed that the government intends to introduce new incentives for businesses as part of measures to support private-sector growth.
The incentives are expected to help businesses expand their operations, explore new markets and move into emerging areas of economic activity.
The Finance Minister’s comments come as preparations continue for the 2027 national budget, which is expected to set out the government’s economic priorities, infrastructure plans, business support measures and job creation strategies for the coming year.
