Kwadwo Bright, 20, was fatally stabbed following a purported altercation over a plastic chair in Ashanti New Town, Kumasi.
According to witnesses, a fight between the deceased and his friend—who is thought to be the attacker—escalated in the early hours of Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Both guys allegedly claimed possession of the chair at a snooker game center, which is where the misunderstanding allegedly began.
The suspect allegedly confronted Kwadwo later and stabbed him in the neck, despite the fact that the matter was previously resolved.
Georgina Yeboah, the victim’s mother, spoke to reporters about the heartbreaking moment she learned her son had been attacked.
“I heard people screaming about a young man being stabbed and rushed to the scene, only to find my son in a critical state. Although the matter was reportedly settled, the suspect later attacked and stabbed Kwadwo in the neck, resulting in his death this morning,” she stated.
After being brought to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kwadwo was declared dead by medical professionals.
Although investigations are ongoing, police have not yet issued an official statement.
