According to former president John Mahama, the corrupt legacy of the Akufo-Addo administration will be eliminated by the NDC’s incoming administration.
“We are responsible for organizing and letting our message of hope reach everyone across the length and breadth of our land,” the 2024 NDC flag bearer said at the 44th anniversary of the June 4 uprising in Hohoe. “The dark days will last only for a moment more and a new dawn is lurking on the horizon.”
The rot in government, the economic problems, the indifference to the plight of the people, the flagrant corruption, and the wasting of the people’s resources, according to Mr. Mahama, will all be history when that new dawn arrives.
“Do not allow people who have made your lives difficult all these years to mislead you with hollow sloganeering, and shallow populism,” he admonished Ghanaians.
He emphasized, “Do not let them mislead you into thinking that you must vote for them in 2024 because of your origin or family ties.
Me Mahama stated that in order for Ghanaians to understand that they are not destined to live with this level of greed and lawlessness, the NPP must be changed and a new standard of governance must be established.
