Christford Affadu “Ekow Black” Danful has been placed under police custody on remand due to accusations of violence that were caught on camera and further charges of sextortion.
On Friday, January 16, 2026, the suspect came before the Adabraka District Court, which was presided over by Justice Nana Abena Asoh Owusu Omenyo. While investigations are ongoing, the judge mandated that he stay in police custody and that he return on Tuesday, January 21, 2026.
The remand coincides with continuing investigations into a previous assault incident that went viral on social media, as well as new claims that Danful engaged in sextortion-like behaviour and threatened to release private photos.
