The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has announced plans to establish an Electric Vehicle (EV) Delivery Brigade, a major youth employment initiative expected to create more than 10,000 job opportunities for young Ghanaians.

According to the YEA, the programme will introduce a structured, regulated and uniformed electric delivery service across Ghana’s 16 regions. More than 10,000 electric motorcycles are expected to be deployed to trained beneficiaries under the initiative.

EV Charging Stations to Support Delivery Jobs

As part of the programme, electric vehicle battery charging and swapping stations will be established at strategic locations across the country.

The initiative will also provide specialised training for young beneficiaries in electric vehicle repairs, maintenance and assembly, equipping participants with technical skills that can support long-term employment in Ghana’s growing EV industry.

The YEA EV Delivery Brigade is expected to contribute to youth employment, skills development, green transportation and digital delivery services in Ghana, while creating new opportunities within the emerging electric mobility sector.
