The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance exercise in the Ashanti Region as part of efforts to improve electricity supply and service reliability.
The scheduled ECG maintenance works will result in a temporary power outage in several communities across the region on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
According to ECG, the maintenance exercise is expected to run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Residents and businesses in the affected areas are therefore advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the planned electricity interruption.
