A Nigerian woman has accused the management team of popular Nigerian musician Reekado Banks of failing to honour an alleged promise to compensate her after she joined the singer on stage during a recent performance.
In a video circulating on social media, the woman shared details of her experience, explaining that she had a memorable moment dancing with Reekado Banks on stage. She said she was about to leave the venue when a member of the artiste’s management team approached her.
According to her account, the manager told her that she would be compensated for taking part in the performance. She said the offer came as a surprise because she had not requested payment and was not expecting any financial reward for joining the singer on stage.
The woman said the manager exchanged contact information with her, prompting her to send a message introducing herself. However, she alleged that she received no further communication after the initial interaction.

She further claimed that several days later, another person who identified himself as a member of Reekado Banks’ management team contacted her and asked whether she had received the compensation that had allegedly been promised.
Seeking to establish whether the individual was genuinely part of the singer’s team, the woman said she contacted the original manager for clarification. She claimed that the manager asked her to provide a screenshot of her conversation with the person, which she sent.
However, she alleged that the manager subsequently stopped responding to her messages. She added that despite sending another follow-up message several days later, she received no response regarding the alleged payment.
The woman expressed disappointment over the situation, stressing that her concern was not primarily about the money but about the alleged failure to honour a commitment made to her.
“It’s not even about the money. If they had not offered compensation, I wouldn’t have expected anything. But once a promise is made, it should be honoured and properly communicated.”
The allegation has generated attention online, with social media users discussing the woman’s account and the responsibility of artiste management teams when commitments are made to members of the public during performances.
