The Deputy Minister, Hon Abdulai Abanga (MP) yesterday attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of TDC Development Company Limited, an agency under the Ministry.

The sector Deputy Minister commended TDC for not only delivering on its mandate of planning, developing, and managing the Tema Acquisition Area in the last 71 years, but also being able to rake in revenues from the company’s operations in the period under review.

TDC yesterday announced an increased in its total revenue from GH¢116.59 million in 2021 to GH¢136.6 million in 2022. The Corporation’s profit before tax also increased from GHS41.68 million in the year 2021 to GHS 49.85 Million in the year 2022, representing an increase of 19.60%.

In pursuit of completing Government’s Affordable Housing Project at Community 26 (Kpone), TDC have so far completed seventy-one (71) blocks of flats in a gated community comprising studio, one bedroom and two bedrooms, making a total of 1,072 apartments under the Community 26 Affordable Housing Project.

Acknowledging TDC Development Company Limited as a prominent player in the field of housing and sustainable community development, Hon Abanga said the Company has consistently played a crucial role in contributing to the development and growth of the housing sector in the country.

Hon Abanga therefore encouraged the Board and Management not to rest on their laurels but rather continue to reevaluate their business practices and embrace contemporary methods for engaging a broader audience beyond their current jurisdiction.
