Bishop Elijah Salifu Amoako, the founder of Alive Chapel International, his wife Mouha, and their sales assistant Linda Bonsu Bempah were all detained again shortly after being released by an Accra Circuit Court.

This followed the Attorney General’s decision to drop the initial accusations against the three. But shortly after their release, authorities grabbed them again and charged them with new crimes related to a fatal accident involving their 16-year-old son, Elrad Amoako.

On October 15, 2024, the Bishop, his wife, and their aide were initially taken into custody after it was shown by early investigations that they had permitted their minor son to operate the car without a valid license.

Their adolescent son drove their white Jaguar F-Pace Sports without a license on October 12, 2024, in East Legon. Two young kids were tragically killed when he struck an Acura utility car, which caught fire upon impact.

Legal experts explained the development by characterizing the action as a procedural step that is frequently employed in criminal cases when the prosecution believes that the initial allegations are insufficient.

To begin the process over, the prosecution may drop the previous charges, make a new arrest, and refile new charges.

As inquiries into the conditions that permitted the juvenile to operate the vehicle illegally continue, it is anticipated that the Bishop and his co-accused will be arraigned once more.
