The inauguration of four new ministers and a deputy minister was performed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The ministers are Mr. Bryan Acheampong, Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adams, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Kobina Tahir, and Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boateng.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo urged the newly appointed officials to exercise prudence and always put Ghanaians’ interests first during the swearing-in ceremony for four new Ministers.
According to the President, they are able to assure that the nation returns to the high levels of economic growth enjoyed before the COVID-19 outbreak and the Russian invasion thanks to their abilities, expertise, and talents. He highlighted the value of integrity and advised students to act in a morally upright manner in all of their public interactions, promptly revealing their assets. They were hired to serve the Ghanaian people honestly and competently, not for their own personal gain, President Akufo-Addo emphasized.
The President added that how they behaved will affect the support and success of their party for decades to come. Due to the fact that their appointments coincide with a pivotal period in Ghana’s history, the President asked the newly appointed officials to dedicate themselves to advancing the general well-being of the populace.
