Daddy Lumba, the late Ghanaian highlife icon, had an incredible posthumous chart debut on the Top Songs chart of Apple Music Ghana.
In addition to 30 of his tracks flooding the Top 100 list, his single “Makra Mo” has achieved the top spot. Other noteworthy Daddy Lumba songs that are currently in the charts are “Ankwanoma,” which is at number five; “Sika,” which is at number six; “Se Sumye Kasa A,” which is at number thirteen; “Mpempem Do Me,” which is at number fifteen; “Mensei Da Harry (Remix),” which is at number seventeen; and “Bribi Gyegye Wo,” which is at number eighteen.
The overwhelming magnitude of the public’s emotional reaction is demonstrated by the fact that 30 of his songs are currently included in the Top 100.

A record for the most simultaneous entries by any Ghanaian artist, Daddy Lumba’s 22 projects are also now appearing on Apple Music Ghana’s Top Albums list.
This outstanding performance is evidence of Daddy Lumba’s lasting influence and the influence his music has had on Ghanaians since his passing on Saturday, July 26, at the age of 60.
