Two people have been taken into custody by the Western Central Regional Police Command in relation to the Sunday, August 17, 2025, fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man in the Asankrangwa Education Area.
According to a police statement, initial investigations showed that after a misunderstanding between the victim and one of the suspects, Kwasi Opong, the dead was repeatedly chased and stabbed by a gang that included the two accused.
Opong, 36, and William Francis Osei, 23, were arrested as a result of prompt action, according to the police, and are being held to assist with investigations.
There are efforts underway to capture another fugitive suspect.
