Shatta Wale, a dancehall performer, has undertaken a spiritual detox at Teshie Next Door Beach, just days after being released from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

The cleaning process, led by Teshie Gbuglah Mantse, Original Nii Martey Laryea I, is thought to be a symbolic act to free the singer from any negative energy or spiritual burden caused by his legal issues.

Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, was granted bail on Thursday, August 21, after being taken into EOCO custody in connection with a luxury Lamborghini Urus tied to a $4 million fraud case that is currently being investigated by US authorities.

According to his legal team, the original GHS 10 million bail has been reduced to GHC 5 million with two sureties. As part of his bail conditions, the artist must report to EOCO three times per week while investigations continue.

After the FBI and the US Department of Justice (DOJ) flagged the vehicle at the center of the controversy, EOCO tracked it down to Shatta Wale. It was originally linked to Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian serving a jail sentence in the United States for his involvement in the enormous fraud enterprise.

Shatta Wale, who claimed to have purchased the Lamborghini “off the street” from someone apparently named “ZAK,” has supplied no legal evidence proving ownership, with the exception of a customs statement linked to Amuah. Investigators are currently determining if the singer willfully purchased criminal earnings or was unaware of the car’s murky origin.

So far, neither the artist nor his colleagues have discussed the ritual’s importance.

EOCO’s investigations are still ongoing.
