A third suspect in the murder of Stephen King Amoah, a 38-year-old Immigration Officer, has died after a brief illness.
The deceased’s brother, Kwasi Amoako, verified the development, stating that he was notified by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officer handling the case.
The suspect’s death adds a fresh dimension to the ongoing investigation, which has gained public attention following the officer’s violent killing. Mr. Amoah’s family has continuously called for prompt and thorough investigations to bring closure and ensure justice is served.
Police have yet to issue an official comment about the suspected fatality.
Amoah, 38, was reported missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving his home to visit a friend at Ashongman Estate.
His burnt body was discovered on July 9 at Abuom Junction, near Kwabenya, resulting in a manhunt and a thorough police investigation.
