Eight basic schools in the Aayalolo Cluster of Schools are set to undergo significant renovations, and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has given contractors the sites.

The initiatives, which are a part of the Assembly’s planned renovations for 2026, are anticipated to enhance the recipient schools’ teaching and learning environments.

Central Mosque 1&2 Primary, Akoto Lante Basic, Amamomo 3 Ashia Mills JHS, Accra Presby Primary, Aayalolo 1&2 KG and Primary, Amamomo 1&2 JHS, Aayalolo 1&2 JHS, and Aayalolo 3 KG and Primary Schools are the schools.

Prior to the transfer, the AMA’s Presiding Member, Hon. After several years of sporadic development projects, Musah Ziyad stated that the refurbishment represented a significant intervention for the Aayalolo Cluster of Schools.

He added that Assembly Members had made multiple attempts over the years to bring the government’s attention to the inadequate condition of the facilities, and that this was the first time in many years that such a large-scale renovation project was being carried out in the schools.

He praised Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, the mayor of Accra, and his team for giving the renovations top priority, claiming that the initiative will help the students and improve the atmosphere for academic work.

Speaking on behalf of all the contractors chosen for the project, a representative of the contractors promised to use high-quality, long-lasting materials and carry out the projects to a high standard.

He promised that the contractors would do everything in their power to make sure the restored facilities lasted a long time and supported efficient teaching and learning. He said the contractors were dedicated to providing long-lasting work that could serve the schools for many years.
