Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Minister of the Interior, has started a high-stakes stakeholder tour in the Volta Region, stating that maintaining national security and peace is a shared duty that necessitates ongoing participation.
The Minister began his engagements by making a courtesy call on Hon. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council. He stated that maintaining national security is essential to long-term progress and that this calls for promoting peace on all fronts.
He pointed out that trust, communication, and togetherness are the cornerstones of security and that it is crucial to consistently participate in order to guarantee that every community recognises that peace is the cornerstone of progress.
The Interior Minister will meet with Zongo chiefs and Christian and Muslim leaders while in the area to promote social cohesion and handle new security issues.

In order to evaluate their operations and improve cooperation, he is also expected to meet with every ministry agency.
Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State and President of the Asogli Traditional Area, will receive a courtesy call from Hon. Muntaka in an effort to deepen connections with traditional authorities.
He will interact directly with prisoners at Ho Central Prison as part of the tour, and he will also visit the Aflao border to assess operations and raise the spirits of the police stationed at one of Ghana’s busiest frontier checkpoints.
The Interior Minister was greeted by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, who also praised him for his efforts in setting up the National Signal Bureau in Ho.
He promised that the Ministry of the Interior and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council would work together.
Since taking office, Hon. Muntaka has worked with important parties to advance social cohesion, security, and peace throughout the nation.
