The Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has officially launched the Safe Journey Campaign, a new initiative designed to promote road safety awareness and responsible driving among motor riders in Ghana.
The campaign seeks to provide comprehensive road safety education, with particular attention to the proper use of protective equipment and compliance with established road traffic regulations.
According to the Transport Ministry, educating motor riders on the importance of wearing appropriate safety gear, including helmets and other protective equipment, is essential to reducing the impact of road accidents and improving road safety.

The initiative will also encourage motor riders to observe traffic laws, practise responsible road use and adopt safer riding habits.
The Safe Journey Campaign forms part of broader efforts to improve road safety in Ghana, reduce road traffic accidents and protect the lives of motorists, motorcyclists, passengers and other road users.
The campaign is expected to strengthen public awareness about road traffic regulations, motorcycle safety and accident prevention, while promoting a safer transport environment across the country.
