The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced a final opportunity for students with discrepancies between their biodata and institutional records to complete the required correction process ahead of the 2026 National Service.
In a notice issued on September 2, 2026, the NSA said students who have already begun correcting their biodata but still require assistance should report to the NSA Headquarters or the NSA Kumasi Regional Office between Wednesday, September 2 and Friday, September 4, 2026.
The exercise is aimed at helping affected students ensure that their academic and institutional records match the personal information on their Ghana Cards, allowing them to complete the necessary procedures to regularise their National Service records.
NSA Urges Schools to Assist Students
The National Service Authority has also encouraged schools and other educational institutions that have identified errors in students’ records but have not yet completed the rectification process to take advantage of the exercise.
Students whose cases require formal documentation may need to prepare relevant Gazette publications, Gazette receipts and affidavits to support the correction of their personal information.
The NSA advised all affected students to carefully verify their academic records and ensure that their names and other biodata are consistent with their official identification documents.
Deadline for Biodata Correction
The Authority warned that students who fail to resolve their biodata discrepancies by Friday, September 4, 2026, could face difficulties participating in the 2026 National Service programme.
Students who have started the rectification process but have not completed it have therefore been urged to act immediately and use the final opportunity provided by the NSA.
NSA Warns Students Against Fraudsters
The National Service Authority has also issued a warning about individuals allegedly posing as NSA officials and claiming they can resolve students’ biodata or National Service registration problems in exchange for money.
Students have been advised not to share personal information or make payments to unauthorised individuals.
The NSA urged students to rely exclusively on official National Service Authority channels and offices when seeking assistance with biodata correction, registration issues or other National Service-related matters.
Affected students are encouraged to complete the process before the September 4, 2026 deadline to avoid potential challenges with their National Service placement.
