The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially commenced its 2026 recruitment and enlistment exercise for commissioned officers, giving eligible Ghanaians an opportunity to apply to join the military.
The official Ghana Armed Forces recruitment 2026 advertisement was published in the Ghanaian Times on Monday, August 31, 2026, on pages 15–19, and subsequently in the Daily Graphic on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, on pages 21–25.
GAF Recruitment 2026 Application Date
Applicants interested in the Ghana Armed Forces enlistment exercise can purchase vouchers for the online application at a cost of GH¢200.00 from Thursday, September 3, 2026.
The application vouchers will be available at designated Ghana Post Offices across the country.
The official GAF recruitment portal is scheduled to become active on Friday, September 4, 2026. Applicants are required to visit apply.mil.gh to access the application form and complete the online recruitment process.
The deadline for submitting completed applications is Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment Scam Warning
The Ghana Armed Forces has urged prospective applicants to rely only on official GAF communication channels for accurate information concerning the 2026 enlistment exercise.
Applicants and members of the public can contact the GAF on 0256 405 104 or via WhatsApp on 0256 405 154 for enquiries. The same contact numbers can also be used to report suspected Ghana Armed Forces recruitment fraud and scams.
The GAF has further clarified that it does not employ middlemen, agents or private representatives to facilitate recruitment into the military.
The public has therefore been cautioned against paying money to individuals who claim to be agents or representatives of the Ghana Armed Forces. Apart from the officially stated application cost, applicants should not make additional payments to anyone promising to secure recruitment or enlistment.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to follow the official recruitment procedures and verify all information before submitting their applications for the GAF 2026 recruitment exercise.
