The Ghana Football Association (GFA), through its Technical Directorate, is set to organise a one-day virtual workshop for Ghana Premier League coaches as clubs prepare for the 2026/27 football season.

The workshop will bring together head coaches from all Ghana Premier League clubs for an important technical engagement designed to improve coaching standards, promote professionalism and create a common understanding of key issues ahead of the new campaign.

The session will be led by GFA Technical Director Dr. Joseph Kwame Mintah, alongside officials from the Association’s Technical Directorate.

According to the GFA, the Premier League coaches workshop will give coaches an opportunity to engage directly with the Technical Directorate on matters concerning their roles and responsibilities. Discussions will focus on important technical and administrative issues needed to support the effective organisation and smooth running of the competition.

A major area of focus will be the conduct and responsibilities of team officials, with particular emphasis on discipline, professionalism and compliance with Ghana Premier League competition regulations.

The initiative is expected to provide coaches with practical guidance and relevant information as clubs complete their preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

The new Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with Vision FC hosting Young Apostles at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema New Town.

The workshop forms part of the GFA’s efforts to strengthen technical development, coaching standards and professionalism in Ghana football ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
