The chief of New Akrofuom in the Adansi Asokwa district has been detained by police in the Ashanti Region for allegedly trying to sodomize a 17-year-old boy.
The young child apparently notified other community members when the traditional leader of the village entered his room with the purpose of doing the deed with him.
The community people proceeded to the chief’s home and attempted to lynch him after the chief fled the area after sensing danger.
In the early hours of Monday, October 23, the incident happened.
Later, police officers showed up at the Chief’s home and arrested the suspect.The event was reported to Citi News by Emmanuel Achirem, the assemblyman for the New Akrofuom electoral district, who also revealed that the chief had previously been accused of engaging in similar misbehavior.
