Popular Davido associate and British-Nigerian businessman Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, widely known as Ego, has died following complications reportedly linked to a cosmetic procedure he underwent in Thailand.
The 43-year-old businessman and social media influencer reportedly underwent a penis enlargement procedure at an unnamed clinic in Thailand in March 2026 while enjoying a luxury holiday with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.
According to reports presented at an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court, Ego had 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected during the procedure.

After the procedure, Ego stayed with his wife at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok. He reportedly complained of severe chest pain before losing consciousness twice.
His wife informed medical personnel about the recent filler injections, but Ego reportedly became unconscious before doctors could conduct a recommended CT scan.
Medical professionals later determined that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a potentially life-threatening condition involving a blockage in a blood vessel supplying the lungs.

Doctors reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes in an effort to save his life. However, Ego died in the early hours of March 6, 2026.
A postmortem examination carried out in the United Kingdom reportedly discovered cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.
Following the evidence presented at the inquest, Coroner Jean Harkin ruled that Ego’s death was caused by a pulmonary embolism linked to the cosmetic procedure.

Ego was known on social media for showcasing his luxurious lifestyle, particularly through Instagram, where he frequently shared images and videos highlighting his wealth and lavish experiences.
Following his death, he was reportedly laid to rest in London in an extravagant gold coffin said to have cost more than $745,000, reflecting the lavish lifestyle for which he was widely known.
At his funeral, Nigerian music superstar Davido paid tribute to his close associate, saying the circumstances surrounding Ego’s death “don’t feel real” and describing the loss as “heavy.”
Another prominent Nigerian personality, Cubana Chief Priest, also shared a video from the funeral and remembered the late businessman.
In his tribute, Cubana Chief Priest described Ego as a brother and celebrated the memories they shared, while asking him to continue watching over those he left behind.
