Dodowa, Oyibi, and the surrounding communities now have access to electricity after several faults on important distribution lines caused outages.

Damage to the Dodowa and Valley View feeders, which provide power to the impacted communities, was connected to the outages. Late last night, engineers were able to fix one of the issues, partially restoring supplies.

A new 10-span overhead line is being built, according to authorities, to avoid a damaged 33kV cable that has caused frequent disruptions in recent weeks.

Three contractors were sent in to speed up repairs, but the work could not be finished on time.

Teams are expected to begin operations with more resources to expedite completion.

Although engineers are now controlling the electricity load from two feeders on a single line to protect system stability, power has been restored in the interim.

Residents have been reassured that work is being done to increase dependability, and more information will be given as the project develops.

Additionally, authorities expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the disruptions and asked impacted customers to continue being patient.
