EOCO Updates Public on Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah Investigation and Bail Proceedings

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has provided an update on the ongoing investigations involving Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, following his voluntary surrender to the anti-corruption and economic crime agency.

According to EOCO, Nana Baffour Agyei Awuah voluntarily surrendered to the Office at 10:00 a.m. on October 1, 2026, and the necessary investigative, procedural and operational processes are still ongoing.

EOCO said the suspect is cooperating with investigators as the Office continues with the required investigative procedures.

The Office explained that it is also mindful of the constitutional timeframes and legal procedures governing bail. In view of this, EOCO is working closely with the Office of the Attorney-General to bring Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah before a weekend court.

EOCO Denies GH¢50 Million Bail Reports

EOCO has also urged the public to disregard reports circulating in the media claiming that the suspect has been granted GH¢50 million bail.

The Office stressed that the reported GH¢50 million bail figure is not accurate and advised the public to rely on official information concerning the ongoing investigation and court proceedings.

EOCO said it remains committed to following the appropriate legal, investigative and procedural requirements as it handles the case.

The development comes as authorities continue investigations into matters involving Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, with further proceedings expected to take place before the appropriate court.
