Tomorrow, October 10, 2023, the remains of E.T. Mensah, a former member of parliament for the Ningo-Prampram seat in the Greater Accra area, will be transported from South Africa to Ghana.
Following a brief ceremony, the body will be taken to the morgue where it will be prepared for the final funeral rites.
This was made known in a statement the family sent on Saturday.
The former NDC MP, who served as Ghana’s Minister for Education and a Member of Parliament from January 1997 until January 2017, regrettably passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 in South Africa after a protracted battle with illness.

The KLEY ABODO family of Prampram issued a statement to formally announce the death of the former MP, stating that the family would receive his mortal remains in the country on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 9:15 p.m. at the Kotoka International Airport before escorting them to the morgue following a brief ceremony.
Former Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, former Minister for Youth and Sports, Employment and Social Welfare, Water Resources, Works, and Housing, and the first National Youth Organizer of the NDC, the late Hon. E.T. Mensah served on the Council of State until his passing.
